Brdr. Kruger
Craft & Design Gallery
OEO Studio has completed a new shared space for the Danish lighting company Anour and furniture brand, Brdr. Krüger. The new craft and design gallery is located in Frederiksstaden, next to the renowned Royal Palace in Central Copenhagen.
OEO Studio started by opening up the original space to create one long room with generous proportions. Bespoke cabinets and low plinths made of chiseled granite serve as room dividers with both acoustic, display and storage properties. A deep palette of warm gray tones has been employed, which graduates in depth the further you enter the space. This is complemented by a dark toned wooden floor throughout the room. Towards the back of the space, the eye is instantly drawn to an impressive monolithic block in black steel which serves as a display counter. A custom black stained oak material library sits comfortably next to it, which encourages customers to explore the materials up close.
Commenting on the design Arash Nourinejad founder of Anour says: “The vision for the new space was to establish a modern and pared-back framework, where the furniture and lighting emerges to give character and warmth, in the spirit of a modern gallery. In a subtle way, the pieces will translate their own stories of materiality, craft, and use.”
