Kitsutsuki finds its reference and inspiration in the classical Japanese tradition of wall-hung vases. The name Kitsutsuki means “woodpecker” in Japanese, carrying connotations of the forest and the shape of the vase. It is turned and cut from a single piece of wood, in either Yoshino cedar or zelkova. The design is soft and tactile, highlighting the materiality and form of the object as it gently displays a flower or branch. Designed by OEO Studio for Time & Style.
