The 2,700 m² Starbucks Roastery in Shanghai offers an immersive, multi-sensory experience. OEO Studio worked with chief design officer Liz Muller, Global Design & Innovation, and her international team and local craftspeople, to design and develop the furniture for the Shanghai Reserve Roastery brand with the ambition of creating a unique collection of furniture that enhances and frames the spatial experience.
The result is a coherent universe of more than 30 bold and beautifully crafted pieces, including lounge chairs, dining chairs, tables, bar stools, occasional tables, trol leys, sculptural ottomans as well as outdoor seating and tables. Each product has been designed with high attention to quality, craftsmanship and functionality, while also exploring a meeting between international contemporary design and Asian sensibilities.
