Japanese textile brand Hosoo, established in 1688, traces its history back to the Kyoto silk industry of the 6thcentury and is widely acknowledged for its exceptional skills within traditional Japanese three-dimensional weaving techniques and for applying richly textured Nishijin weaving to contemporary design.

Hosoo partnered with OEO Studio in 2011 with the objective of designing a whole new range of distinctive textiles for high-end interior projects and fashion brands worldwide. Textile collections designed by OEO Studio includes Moss, Collage, Collage Transparent, Mesh, Starry, Starry Indigo, Harlequin, Ultraviolet and Ginko. In 2015, Starry Indigo textile designed by OEO Studio was included in the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York.
